12 May 08 ... Series notes and schedule changes!

- For the D4 Championship series, a rider must race a minimum of 12 races in the same class to qualify for an award.

- For the East West Shootout, a rider must race 4 out of the 5 races in the same class to qualify for an award.

- Please note that the 7 Sep 08 EWS race at Maple Shade is Quad Only.

- Schedule change and points paying classes have been added to the printable schedule, and online schedule and standings.

The Season is about to start!!! The first District 4 race is April 27th at Mapleshade. See you there!!

Barefoot MX Racing Signs on as the Official Sponsor of the District 4 50 and 65cc Youth Classes for 2008. This will include both the D4 Championship series as well as the new East-West Shootout Series for the coming season. Barefoot MX Racing President Rob Baumgart is looking forward to adding to the awards that the youth riders in these classes will compete for. Classes will include the Class 3 ages 4-8 Injection, the Class 1 ages 4-6 and the Class 2 ages 7-8 in the 50cc classes. The 65cc ages 7-9 and 65cc ages 10-11 will also be included. Barefoot is the area's leading Cobra dealer, sponsoring many of the area's best youth riders in the very competitive 50 and 65cc classes. Rob and his children are all D4 members, with Rob competing in the Vet classes at all of our D4 tracks. AMA District 4 Banquet!!!

The 2007 banquet was a great evening of fun and camaraderie by the riders receiving awards from District 4 and Mapleshade MX. Special thanks go out to Doug and Sherry Lawson for allowing the district to "tag along" this year and include the district awards as part of the annual Mapleshade banquet. For 2008, D4 will be planning our own separate banquet at a centralized location to our members. We hope that with our outstanding 2008 schedule and the new East-West Shootout that many more riders will qualify for awards this season and we will have a large D4 banquet to celebrate a great season of racing action. Here's to 2007 and an even better 2008 !

Welcome to the new website for AMA District 4. The Promoters and Officers decided it was time for a change including a new website and an all new motocross series. The PenNY series is out and the new East - West Shootout is in. D4 needed a face lift so we thought since we have all new officers we might as well have a new website and series as well. 2008 is going to be banner year for District 4.

District 4 Banquet News
The district 4 banquet for the 2007 yr end and PenNY series awards is going to be held in Jamestown NY at the Holliday Inn just off I 86. The date will be Jan 12th with 5:30-6:30 being sign in times . Dinner starting at 6:30 with some track talk starting as soon as every one is seated followed by the awards. There are discounted rooms and a pool for those interested.
This banquet is being held in conjunction with the Maple Shade MX banquet as some are getting awards at both. You can go to the www.mapleshademx.com website to print of a banquet form to be sent in or to be used for location, times, addresses and dates. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and looking forward to seeing you all at the Banquet on Jan 12th.
